The Next Chapter for TireShopIQ: A Unified Platform for Shops and Customers
From the beginning, TireShopIQ has been about one thing: giving independent shop owners the playbook the big chains already have. Pricing confidence. Counter scripts. Marketing that actually pulls local traffic. Details that turn a one-time customer into a lifer.
That work isn't stopping. But this fall, it's expanding into something bigger.
What's Changing
TireShopIQ is partnering with DoneLogic to build a connected system where customer vehicle data and service history flow directly into the tools your shop already uses — automatically, without a service advisor manually digging through old ROs to figure out what a customer needs next.
Here's the shift in plain terms: right now, most shops are reactive. A customer shows up, an advisor pulls up whatever history exists in the shop's own system, and makes a recommendation based on what they can see in that moment. It works, but it depends entirely on the advisor's memory, the completeness of your records, and whether the customer even remembers their own maintenance history.
The new platform changes that starting point. When a customer connects their vehicle, their service history, tire wear patterns, mileage trends, and prior visits — across shops, not just yours — become visible the moment they walk in or book online. AI processes that data and surfaces specific, individualized recommendations: this customer is 4,000 miles from their rotation interval, this tire is showing wear consistent with an alignment issue, this vehicle's TPMS sensor batteries are approaching end of life based on install date.
That's not a generic "check engine light" push notification. It's a recommendation built on that customer's actual vehicle, delivered to your advisor before the conversation even starts.
Why This Matters for Independent Shops
We've said it before in this space: independents win on trust, not price. This platform is built around that same principle, just automated.
Think about what it does for attachment rate. An advisor who opens a ticket already knowing a customer's alignment history, tire brand preference, and typical mileage between visits isn't guessing at an upsell — they're having an informed conversation. That's the difference between "you might want to consider new wipers" and "last time you were in, we noted your wipers were at about 60% — they're probably due now, want me to add them to this ticket?"
The second version closes. The first one gets a polite no.
There's a business development angle here too. Because the system works across a customer's full service history — not just visits to your shop — it creates a natural on-ramp for winning business away from chains and dealerships. A customer who's been getting oil changes at a quick-lube chain but comes to you for tires now has a shop that can see the full picture and make a case for consolidating their maintenance in one place. That's a conversation independents have struggled to have with any real data behind it.
The Consumer Side
This isn't a one-way data grab, and it shouldn't be pitched as one. The consumer app is the other half of the platform — customers get visibility into their own vehicle's maintenance needs, reminders that are actually specific to their car instead of generic mileage intervals, and a direct line of communication with your shop instead of a phone tag experience.
For a customer, that means fewer surprises at the counter and more confidence that they're not being upsold something they don't need. For your shop, it means a customer walking in already primed for the conversation your advisor is about to have with them, because they've already seen the recommendation on their phone.
That's the "unified" part. Both sides are working off the same information instead of the shop guessing and the customer being skeptical.
What This Means for Your Shop Day to Day
- Advisors get context automatically instead of relying on memory or digging through old tickets
- Recommendations get specific — tied to that vehicle's actual wear patterns and history, not a mileage sticker guess
- Customer communication improves — reminders and updates go straight to the customer's phone, not lost in a text thread or forgotten
- New business opportunities open up — shops can identify customers who are due for service elsewhere and make the case to bring that business in-house
None of this replaces the fundamentals we've been writing about — the counter experience, the trust-building, the details. It gives your team better information to work with when they're doing all of that.
Launching Fall 2026
This platform is set to launch in fall 2026, and we're building a first wave of independent shops to launch it at their locations before the wider rollout.
If you want your shop in that first group, reach out to hello@tireshopiq.com. We'll walk you through what it looks like for your specific operation and what onboarding involves.
More details on setup, timeline, and what the advisor-side interface looks like are coming in future posts. For now — if this sounds like something your shop wants to be first in line for, send the email.
